Hi! My name is Janki and its fair to say I am a total beauty addict...oh and shoes, clothes, handbags and jewellery (do you see where this is going)? Well if your still unsure here is a little about me and how I stumbled into the wonderful world of beauty...
The world of Makeup has always been on the horizon and it finally happened in 2012 when I completed my course at The Academy of Freelance Makeup (AOFM) and successfully qualified as a Freelance Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist. Since completing my course my makeup collection has grown huge amounts and my interest in knowing what new products are out there and trying them all was (still is) taking over my life and bank account. I have on numerous occasions found my self reviewing and recommending products to friends and family and knew it was time to start a blog where I could share them with more people!
Why Ahalya?
Soon after my course I decided I wanted to set up my own Makeup & Hair business; I always liked the name Ahalya as I had come across it numerous times whilst hearing and reading the story of Lord Ram (Hindu God).
The more I researched into the name I came across the one reason why my company should be called Ahalya; the meaning of the name is "One with Impeccable Beauty" and so with the blessing of my Sadguru in June 2012 my journey with Ahalya started.
I intend to keep this blog alive for you all with my Makeup, Hair, Skincare and Nail product reviews, tips and tutorials and every so often the latest fashion trends and lifestyle posts.
